Cathodic Inspections

Underground storage tanks and piping constructed with steel or other metal in direct contact with the soil must be protected from corrosion with a cathodic protection system. This includes piping steel flex connectors in contact with the soil.

These cathodic protection systems are required to have a complete inspection every three years by a qualified cathodic protection inspection service.

AWP has a staff of qualified cathodic protection inspectors available for your testing needs. By closely following the prescribed guidelines of the Department of Transportation, AWP has maintained reading efficiencies well below the permissible and allowable error standards set forth by our customers.  Each inspection is conducted by a certified member of our field staff and is overseen by a project manager to ensure, safe, compliant, accurate and timely completion.
