Celebrating National Engineers Week

Team AWP, February 21, 2017

Every year, one week is set aside to nationally recognize and celebrate those who work and take pride as an engineer. Founded by the National Society of Professional Engineers in 1951, EWeek (February 19-25th, 2017) is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing the understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. It is our time to give thanks to the dedicated Traffic Engineers at Area Wide Protective who help drive our mission of safety across America’s roadways.

The Traffic Engineers at AWP work hard to create temporary traffic control plans for work zones that promise safety and efficiency. The team’s extensive and specialized knowledge in traffic control allows our plans to not only meet federal, state, and local regulations, but often times, exceed those regulations to ensure complete protection of people, business and time.

Most of our engineers have experience working on both the public and private side of the business. This is taken into account when considering what regulators are looking for, and what our customer’s project involves. In many cases, the team’s plans have become a standard plan for the community.

We are proud to have such an outstanding engineering team and would like to extend our greatest appreciation for all that they do.
